The MenoMemo

A simple gratitude reset for your hormones (and your heart)

Gratitude as a Stress Reset

My first draft of this week’s Memo was all about gratitude - why it matters and how it shapes our health in midlife.

Then I remembered: two weeks ago I told you I was missing my egg bowl. Well, I found it right after the last memo published. It was there, in the fridge - heroically guarding four pears from my last Misfits order.

From there, my brain did what midlife brains do - it hopped straight to blood sugar control (because declining estrogen makes it harder), and then to the holidays ahead with their siren song of sugar bowls, bakery cases, and pastries we swear we’ll walk past.

I’ve also been hearing from many of you who are struggling with sleep, anxiety, and the emotional whiplash of hormones that dip, dive, and do acrobatics we definitely did not sign up for.

So yes - my squirrel brain has been busy. But underneath it all, one question keeps rising to the surface:
What would genuinely support you the most right now?

I’ve also been researching how to keep these Meno Memos out of your spam folder, and apparently consistency helps - publishing weekly so your inbox knows I’m a real human and not a robot pushing questionable gummies. With how much we could cover about perimenopause and menopause, writing more often might actually be the best way to give you the tools and encouragement you’ve been asking for.

And once I sorted through the noise, I came back to where I started: gratitude.

🌿 Before the Holiday Hustle… Breathe

Before you dive into Thanksgiving dinner, Black Friday deals, travel, leftovers, and shopping… take a deep breath.

With a warm cup of coffee or tea in your hands, try this:
Inhale for 4.
Hold for 4.
Exhale for 4.
Repeat once more.

As your breath slows, consider the things you’re grateful for - even the small ones you normally overlook.

Midlife, for many is a rollercoaster. Hormones shift, stress piles on, sugar sneaks in, sleep gets messy. It affects how you move, think, and feel. It’s easy to focus on what’s going wrong.

So let’s shift toward what’s going right.

Why Gratitude Helps in Midlife

Science shows that a simple gratitude practice can lower cortisol, calm your nervous system, and improve sleep. It’s free. It’s simple. And it takes less time than scrolling Instagram for “gift ideas.”

Gratitude doesn’t erase stress - it softens it.
It pulls you from doing into being - and that’s where healing begins.

Try one (or all!) this week:

🕯️ Morning Moment: Before grabbing your phone, name 1-3 things you appreciate.
🍽️ Mealtime Pause: Ask everyone to name one thing they’re grateful for that money can’t buy.
🌙 Evening Reset: Write down one moment from the day that made you smile.

Gratitude isn’t fluff - it’s a nervous system reset.
It lowers blood pressure, supports heart health, and helps balance hormones by easing your body out of fight-or-flight. And the more you practice, the easier it becomes for your brain to spot the good.

💖 A Note of Gratitude from Me

This season, I’m grateful for you - for every woman who reads these emails, reflects, and chooses small, meaningful steps toward feeling better.

For every woman who has come to a workshop.
For everyone who has signed up for a Coffee Chat.
For every woman who’s trusted me with her health, her story, and her next chapter.

You’re doing the work. You're showing up for yourself.
And that’s something worth celebrating.

If you’ve been thinking about getting more support - someone to help you stay consistent, calm, and confident through the holidays and beyond - now’s a great time.

I’m offering a Black Friday Special: 20% off 1:1 coaching for new clients who sign on between now and December 21, 2025.

Investing in yourself is an act of gratitude, too. And so many women tell me how much better they feel simply having someone in their corner.

When you support your body, it supports you right back.

💬 What’s one thing you’re grateful for this week that money can’t buy?

That’s the memo.
Short. Doable. Sent with love.

Until next time ~
