The MenoMemo

Snacks + sanity. It’s the August survival combo you didn’t know you needed.

The Meno Memo

Your dose of clarity, calm, and midlife empowerment

One simple snack. One tiny pause. That’s it.

August has entered the chat…
And she brought busy energy, cranky hormones, and zero chill.

Even if you’re not hauling kids to school, this time of year can feel like a lot. Schedules shift, sunlight fades, and suddenly everyone needs something from you right now.

But before you dive headfirst into the September spiral, try this:

🥜 Simple Shift #1: Keep snacks handy

Because hangry in perimenopause?
It’s not cute. It’s cortisol.

These no-bake energy bites are the perfect grab-and-go support squad for your blood sugar and your mood.

Energy Bites
– 1 cup dry oats
– ⅔ cup toasted unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)
– ½ cup natural peanut butter (no added sugar)
– ½ cup ground flaxseed
– ⅓ cup honey or pure maple syrup
– 1 Tbsp chia seeds
– 1 tsp vanilla extract

Mix everything together, roll into bite-sized balls, and store in the fridge.
They’re naturally sweet, full of fiber, and packed with healthy fats to keep your energy steady and your hormones happy.

Did you know that flaxseed is a hormone helper?
These tiny seeds are rich in lignans - natural compounds that can help balance estrogen levels. Research shows they may reduce hot flashes, lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, and even improve mood and quality of life during perimenopause and menopause.
One tablespoon a day? Your hormones (and heart) will thank you. 💛

🧘‍♀️ Simple Shift #2: Add a Pause Point

Just one moment a day - no pressure, no performance.
Maybe when you grab your snack, you also:

  • Take one deep breath
  • Light a candle
  • Sit down instead of eating over the sink
  • Say “no” to one thing that drains you

That’s it. That’s the shift. One tiny cue that tells your body:
You’re safe. You’re supported. You don’t have to hustle through everything.

Together, these two shifts help stabilize hormones, lower stress, and make August a little less... unhinged.

If you try the bites - or add your own “pause point” - I’d love to hear. Hit reply and let me know what’s working for you.

That’s the memo.
Short. Doable. Sent with love.

Until next time ~
